How it works

From brief to certifier-ready pack in four steps.

We keep the steps deliberately few — most jobs move brief → pack in under a week once scope is clear.

01

Brief

Share scope, drawings and programme. Use our pre-brief checklist for the fastest path.

02

Fee proposal

A written fee proposal with assumptions, deliverables and turnaround — 14-day validity.

03

Calcs & drawings

AS/NZS-aligned calculations and documentation — assumptions stated, ready for review.

04

Issued pack

PDFs issued to you and the certifier. One revision round included in every package.

Work

What builders tell us.

Anonymised notes from recent jobs across Eastern Australia. Named references available on request for serious enquiries.

Turnaround was the difference between pouring on schedule and losing a week. Pack came through cleanly with everything the certifier wanted.

FAQ

Common questions before you enquire.

What’s the difference between the fee estimator and a fee proposal?
The estimator gives an indicative band from a handful of inputs — useful before you commit. A fee proposal is a written, scoped document with assumptions and deliverables; it’s what we quote by and what binds the job.
How fast can you turn a job around?
Most members (beams, posts, connections) are issued within 24–48 hours of accepted scope. Decks and slab packages typically 48–72 hours. Full coordinated packages are per scope — we confirm turnaround in the fee proposal so there are no surprises.
What do you need from me to quote?
Scope (what needs designing), drawings or sketches, loads and use, site details, and your certifier/council path. The free checklist above covers everything a certifier will ask us to include.
Do you do revisions?
Yes. One revision round is included in every package. Additional rounds are quoted in the proposal so you always know the cost before you commit.
Which areas do you cover?
New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and the ACT — residential and light commercial. For work in other states, get in touch and we’ll confirm scope fit.
Are prices inclusive of GST?
Estimator bands and guide prices are displayed ex GST by default. The formal fee proposal and tax invoice clearly show both ex-GST and GST-inclusive figures.
Is a priority / rush path available?
Yes — note target dates in your enquiry and we’ll price a priority path in the fee proposal if your programme needs it.
What files do you issue?
Signed PDFs for calcs and drawings, ready for your certifier. Source files are available on request and subject to licensing terms in the proposal.
